"Those who educate children well are to be honored more than those who merely produce them; for the latter only give them life, while the former teach them the art of living well," as rightly quoted by Aristotle. Thanks to educators for illuminating the path of knowledge. The late President Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan was a great teacher. In honor of teachers, his birthday on September 5th is observed as Teachers' Day every year. Celebrating this day in school is a wonderful way to show appreciation for teachers. Students organize activities such as songs, dances, dramas, and speeches for their amusement. They also bring gifts, cards, and flowers.
On the eve of Teachers' Day, our school students were called in colorful dresses, and when they gathered in one place, the sight was nothing less than the colorful blooms of a garden. Teachers were invited to the decorated hall and were welcomed with tilak and flowers to honor them. The show started with a devotional song, followed by many colorful dances, songs, and dramas. The school management presented beautiful gifts as a token of appreciation. After the cultural fiesta, all the teachers gathered in the basement for a sumptuous lunch. Everybody enjoyed the day thoroughly. This day was a great opportunity for students to express gratitude for the guidance and support they received from their teachers.
