1ST APRIL 2026 - UTKAL DIWAS

Our school celebrated Utkal Diwas with great pomp and pride, commemorating the formation of Odisha as a separate state on 1st April 1936. The occasion stands as a tribute to the identity, language, culture, and rich traditions of the Odia-speaking people.

The programme began with insightful speeches by students, who paid homage to the struggles and sacrifices of the freedom fighters of Odisha. Their words reflected a deep sense of respect and awareness of the state’s historical journey. Adding vibrancy to the celebration, students dressed in elegant traditional attire performed graceful dances to the patriotic anthem “Bande Utkal Janani.” Their expressions and movements beautifully captured the spirit of devotion and pride.

Several performances brought history to life, as students re-enacted significant events and portrayed the contributions of leaders who played a vital role in the formation of Odisha. The stage came alive with colour, music, and emotion as others sang songs celebrating the glory and heritage of the state. Altogether, the celebration rekindled a renewed sense of pride and love for Odisha among everyone present.
